After first alternate deadlift grip...elbow/bicep pain
Hey guys, I used the alternate grip on deads two days ago. The pain went away for a while but today when I squatted it started to hurt again. I'm not sure what the cause is. If it's my grip on the squat bar, the new alternate grip or what. If you guys don't mind, my form check is posted in the other thread. My shoulders can't handle a closer grip. It feels like someone is stabbing me in the muslces on the outside of my shoulders. Not sure what the name is. Now my biceps and left elbow hurts like hell.

You may have inadvertently tried to "curl" weight up with the arm using the underhand grip. Keep your arms locked straight and I like to alternate which hand has the overhand grip after each rep.
