Default Taking a week out between ending LP and starting TM

I am about at the end of my lp, I've been feeling a little under the weather so am considering a week off and then start fresh on the TM.

This is my 3rd bout of SS. If I add the 3 together it equals about 4 months of solid training. Squat has gone from 50kg x 5 x 3 to 122.5kg x 5 x 3, bodyweight I think I was 75kg and am now 96kg.

    Thoughts?

    Tom.

    25. 6'.

Tom C has been helping me along with form checks and some programming advice. Also see http://startingstrength.com/resource...ad.php?t=40881

My gut feeling is just move on to TM now.

I like Jordan's advice of taking a light week or two before hitting it hard again.

Question about volume day, recovery day and intesity day on The Texas Method:

Let's use the squat. What I propose to do is ad 5lbs every two weeks on volume day, 5lbs every two weeks on recovery day and 5lbs every week on intensity day.

    Is this is good option?

It might work. I can't say for sure though, never tried it that way

Generally I move the VD up at the same rate as ID. But it doesn't have to be that way. It only has to be enough stress to cause improvement on ID. And maybe that gets accomplished by holding the weight static.
