    Coach,
Would you please give me some feedback on these squats?

I note that the bar travels forward towards the bottom. How can I correct that? What else do I need to work on?

    Thanks in advance,
    -Matt

Are all form check requests supposed to be in Repetitive Inquiries now? I thought that the Q&A was an appropriate place for this post. Sorry if I misunderstood.

It looks like your knee isn't reaching the proper position and appears to be moving at the bottom of the rep which is causing the bar path to travel forward. Around page 54 or 55 is the knee section in the squat chapter and on page 56 there is an illustration of the TUBOW. Your knee needs to get out over your foot (possibly an inch beyond it depending on body type) within the first 1/3 of the descent. I didn't realize just how fast they need to get there, it's fast. People aren't joking when they say shove your knees out. The knees shouldn't move for the rest of the descent, instead you lower yourself with your hips. The book talks about making this a two part movement ie knees in place first, then lower your hips. Practice that and then make it one constant movement.

The book covers this in much more detail and gets you pointed in the right direction.
