Are weightlifting shoes worth buying if I will only use them for squats? The only other lifts I do that would be affected by my shoes are the press, deadlift, and row and I don't think I'd benefit on those lifts from them. I'm most likely going to get the 2011 Rogue's.

I currently lift in Chuck Taylor's but was thinking about getting the WL shoes because my back tends to round at the bottom of my squat (high-bar) and I know this is dangerous. Should I just begin to stretch my hip flexors more so I can squat ATG better or will it be difficult for me to squat high-bar ATG safely with no heel raise?

    Thanks.

Depends whether you're a serious lifter, or just fucking around.

    yes, they are worth it.

And yes, you can squat safely without them.

once you do a heavy set of squats in them, you will not want to squat in anything else

Actually, I would prefer to squat barefoot if my feet didn't stink so badly.

I don't lift if I don't have my WL shoes.

What if you lost your shoes on a heavy day?

Would they be good or bad to wear while doing presses, rows, and deadlifts as well?

You'll probably wear them for everything unless you decide to dlift barefoot
