It's probably a hernia, but not inguinal. Get an opinion from an abdominal surgeon this time.
So I've had this very annoying weird pain since December.
It feels like a burning line while the abdominals contract at a certain angle. Sometimes it takes 1-2 seconds to start hurting, and it stops when I stop the exercice. However, it's really unbearable and it's definitely more than just a slight discomfort, it's one of these pains where your body is saying "you'll snap your shit if you keep doing this".
I feel it when I do hollow holds and many other ab exercices, even at the end position while doing the row machine.
At first I thought it might be a hernia but it doesn't really feel like my inguinal hernia. First, it's not located at the same place : I feel my inguinal hernia right next to my dick as well as in by testicle, and I feel discomfort at random times during the day (and mostly when I am holding in a heavy shit), while the "new pain" is on the other side, and is right between where the abs and the pubic region meet (instead of the groin).
I have represented the ab pain in red, and the inguinal hernia in light blue.
Also, as I said, it only hurts DURING the ab contraction and mostly at particular angles (altho I also feel it when doing planks or L-sits where the torso is upright, and I feel it A LOT when I try one-arm push-ups). I have been told that it's most likely a muscle tear (since I have weak abs to begin with) but it's been 6 months and it's just as present (not better nor worse) so I don't believe it.
I don't know how I got it, but it might have appeared after I attempted a 1RM deadlift. I have only done RDL before and I attempted a 1RM attempt the first time I tried classic deadlifts (my 3x5 RDL weight is the same as the 1RM deadlift I did).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'll go to the doctor again but I doubt they'll be of any help.
UPDATE: Two days ago I tried doing some hollow holds, and it didn't hurt at first so I did two sets, and at the third set I felt the pain again, but this time, it's been following me after I have finished the set (in other words, I still feel it even if I am sitting on the computer).

How the fuck did you get a picture of me?!?
...and quit crossfit for a while.
This sounds a lot like the problem I've been having and looks like it's in the same spot. I posted about it here http://startingstrength.com/resource...ad.php?t=39395
The pain usually responded to movement so I figured it was a hernia or a strain.
After months of going to doctors they finally found signs of a peptic ulcer in an x-ray. Just something to think about if the next person you see is unable to diagnose.
I think it's just an excuse to stick a picture of a penis on here...
Nice weiner.
wtf....
