Right foot turns outward, causes unbalance
Hello rip,
I have been squatting and deadliffting for a while, and I had suffered an injury on my right hip that caused me to revalue my technique in my lifts and realize I have some deep problems.
About 4 years ago I had a medial meniscus knee surgery(err sewing?), was on "affixing" (didn't move the leg for about 2 months) and I let it rest when it is pointed outward. I recovered completely from the injury but my right leg now turns outward a little, and has difficult doing internal rotation (plus my knee becomes extremely uncomfort when I'm in internal rotation / foot points forward, it feels most comfort when it's just in a little outward point)
I servedin the combar army, was active a lot and it didn't cause any problems. But now after I did SS for about 2 and a half months, I realized that my entire body bends a little to the right when I squat, and my left leg is far superior to my right leg. It caused me to have pain in my hip which I recovered ( I think it's either piriformis or SI, somewhere there).
I am still unbalanced in my squat and deadlift, in my squat a little less as I point my left foot more outward resulting in a symmetric foot points that makes things more balanced. But my deadlift is a real pain, and I feel I'm unbalanced...
Now, What can I do? Should I lift with my foots pointing outwards to fit my right leg? (very hard in deadlift), should I work on my right leg? How? And which one is the problem, the internal rotators or external? I am so confused...I feel like an injury is imminent.
I have bolded the important bits as my writing have gone a little out of hand and I'm sure you're a busy coach.

An imbalance like this cannot be evaluated on the internet, especially in the presence of a language barrier. A coach that understands this must be present. Perhaps our SSC Dana Zilber will be in Israel soon. Contact her through this board.
