Problem with Fixed Hooks on Squat Rack
There is only one squat rack at my gym. There are two fixed hooks that are about the right height for me. The higher hook is just a little bit too high, so I use the lower one. However, when I put my shoulder under the bar and stand up from the lower hook, the bar hits the bottom of the higher hook (hook right above it). I'm more worried for when I have to re-rack after a set, since the pins are fixed at such a height that going for the lower one will force me to bend down a bit and the higher one will force me to stand perfectly tall (or on my tip-toes).
Is there an easy way to solve this problem? Or do I have to switch gyms?

No way around that. What I did at my older gym was put a 5lbs pkate under the rack so that the lower hook would be a little higher, but I'm not sure you can get away with that.
