Really dumb question - why is the SS logo a mallet? Shouldn't it be a barbell?

Poetic, too, cos Thor needed a belt to lift the hammer.

And many of the questions on this board end in you dropping the hammer on unsuspecting novices.

    Poetry for days.

I always thought it was because hammer curlz were a critical part of the program. Have I been doing something wrong?

Why all the extra 'A's in Asgard?

I was going to aassume thaat waas some Norwegian or Scandinavian spelling...

This article is about the realm of Norse Mythology. For other uses of the names Asgard, Asguard, Asgaard, Aesgaard, Aasgard, or Asgård, see Asgard (disambiguation).
    But no doubles AAs ...twice.

But I come up with this:

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    Jump to navigationJump to search
Aasgaard is a surname.[1] Notable people with the surname include:

Johan Arnd Aasgaard (1876–1966), American Lutheran church leader
    Torleif Aasgaard (1888–1953), Norwegian businessperson
...and a company that makes knives.

Its just some Norwegian's last name from the best I can tell.

Is it an acronym or something?

Why does it have to be any deeper than "Rip likes Norse shit. Maybe he just liked the hammer"?

I can bid in with that coming from Denmark.
In Scandinavia where the Nordic Mytologi springs from, we have e letter Å which in old times was pronounced as the letter written, but back then it was written with a double AA..
It sounds a bit like an O, but not. :-)
