Well here we go! This will be our company's first gym outside of the Texas market and we are excited to get started. So far both Dallas and Plano are crushing it and we are eager to duplicate our success in other markets. We are still very early in the market research phase so stay tuned here for updates along the way.

I'm glad you shared the Plano video. Before I watched it, I felt traffic patterns might be a big consideration for an Atlanta location. Sure enough, you talked about that immediately in regards to Plano and Dallas (closer to home versus closer to work, commuting, etc.).

This is hardly an epiphany, but work-from-home notwithstanding, it seems like many commuters into Atlanta proper drive in from their homes in:

1. North Fulton county, via state route 400: from cities like Alpharetta
2. Gwinnett county, via interstate 85: from cities like Peachtree Corners
3. Cobb county, via interstate 75: from cities like Marietta

Thank you very much for the intel. We are still working on our area searches. So far we have had good success using the algorithm developed for the Dallas and Plano gyms combined with the local knowledge of driving patterns and behavior. We really appreciate the info!

Things are still moving slowly over here but we are pumped about the Atlanta market. As far as interest in Starting Strength the Atlanta market was among the top 10 ranking with hits to the startingstrength.com website. I expect this gym will fill up fairly quickly once we get doors open.
