    Default Power Clean Form Check

    • starting strength seminar december 2024
    • starting strength seminar february 2025
    • starting strength seminar april 2025
    I'd appreciate some feedback on my power clean. I think I still have a tendency to try to reverse curl the bar up, and I have trouble catching the bar on my shoulders. This was the fifth of 5 sets and I was pretty fatigued at this point.

    Really early arm bend is leaking you of snappiness.

    Practice just jumping with straight arms. Don't even try to rack it. Jump hard with straight arms. Feel the upward force of the bar when you do this. Then add the rack in later, after several reps of hammering home the concept of straight arm jumping.

    Let's see if that cue alone doesn't help. It's like a throttle body cleaning for your power clean.

    Thanks BareSteel. I think that cue will help a lot. I'll give it a try on the next PC day and take a new vid.
