Default Chin ups in the SSBBT program?

    Hi rip

I am doing the basic program from SSBBT.

My lifts and bodyweight are both steadily increasing. However, my question is: 'should I be doing chin ups now before my bodyweight increases significantly?' My guess is that it would be easier to progress with chins now because my body will adapt to my linear increase in weight rather than adding them in at a later date when I am much heavier.

At WFAC, what program do you start your trainees on? Or does that depend on their individual attributes? can I continue doing the SSBBT program and just add chins on every other workout or should I switch to Onus?

    Thanks for your time.

What does genetic potential and gene doping have to do with chinups?

What does the cover of your book say? Is it black and red?

No, it is black and yellow with a picture of a barbell. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that this is not the second edition.

Bugger. Don't have that book. I have SSBBT and the DVD.

Does page 106 say do chins?

It's the novice program, and chins are included.

    starting strength coach development program
    Hi Rip,

Please excuse my stupidity and/or ignorance. I thought the novice program was squads, bench press, press, deadlift and power clean. Do I need to modify the basic program template or add chins 3 x 5 on the end of each workout.

If you could clarify it would be greatly appreciated. I am progressing well with what I am currently doing but may need a correction sooner rather than later if I'm doing things wrong.
