    Default Losing Weight and Programming Accordingly?

    • starting strength seminar december 2024
    • starting strength seminar february 2025
    • starting strength seminar april 2025
    Stats:
    BW: 195
    Squat 365x3
    Bench 225x5
    deadlift 405x1 (sadly do no train deadlift much because of octogon plates, but will start)

    My goal is to drop quite a few lbs over a span of 3-4 months. Any advice on programming for this? Thanks

    come on... have you even TRIED to read other threads about this? Basically eat less.... possibly a LOT less. if you eat a lot less cut back on your volume, but keep the intensity. (e.g. maybe just 2 workouts a week. and like 2x3 instead of 3x5 or something). Some people like "RFL".

    What do you mean by "quite a few"? I'd imagine that if you shoot for a reasonable rate of weight loss (~1-2lbs/week) you can keep from losing much strength. Try to reduce your caloric intake by 500-750/day OR increase caloric expenditure my the same amount OR some combination of the two. Keep your protein up though.

    What is your current programming like?
