Welcome back, Alex. Looking forward to seeing the vid of your four-oh-fahve-for-fahve.
Hello guys - (not actually a question just motivation for others going through the same thing maybe?)
For the past few months I've been debating whether to give up training or not.
For some reason late last year I started becoming super self-conscious about my weight and felt I was too fat so I just thought I'd give up. Maybe it's just easier to be skinnier and live a life like most of the general population right?
Well I'm back. I woke up to myself after re-reading Chapter 1 of Starting Strength.
I realised training is what actually makes me happy. I like getting stronger, and I thought it would be a waste just to stop.
Tom C (my mentor a little bit), I'm sorry for letting you down. All that help you gave me, how could I just give up!?
No no, I'm not giving up. I'm getting back under that bar and putting up 405x5.
Alex.
Welcome back, Alex. Looking forward to seeing the vid of your four-oh-fahve-for-fahve.
why are you guys always spelling five like "fahve"?
I was sleepy when I read the post title, thought it said "I'm black".. power to you dude, just keep training. I remember you, you thought you were fat because of comments from your peers and parents, whilst doing LP. Well done for getting over that, seriously props.
Keep that passion, watch some CT Fletcher to get you in the mood.. for training... nothing else mind you.
