Was watching the SS video on OHP in a restaurant and this 30ish looking guy comes up and starts talking to me. He identified himself as an "exercise" coach at the local High School.

He said he couldn't help but notice that I was watching the OHP video and he wanted to do me a favor and warn me against doing OHPs. He said that exercise inevitably leads to shoulder impingement and he has prohibited any of his students from doing them.

He emphasized that bench presses and lateral raises are all that's needed for shoulder strength.

Anyway, I'll be doing those in about an hour. lol

I know. Was in the middle of eating dinner. I think lots of folks throw around the term 'impingement' without knowing what it is.

There is a trainer at my gym who always warns me against doing the vasalva. He says the increased pressure will give me an aneurysm.

Not just pop an aneurysm. Give you an aneurysm.

A buddy of mine says his dad claims doing the valsalva gave him a hernia. Cause you know, letting your core go slack under a load is obviously safer.

not to revel in the scatological, but the toilets will be piled high with dead bodies from blow outs that occurred while having a bowel movement...IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD! just like the prophet-trainer said!

can someone give me a "HOLY SHIT!" ?

    What an idiot.

I was on my 4th rep of Intensity squats the other day and one of the regular's at my gym yelled "Keep your head up Bryant!" Good thing I'm somewhat mentally strong, I could've stripped a 45 off and fucking hit him with.
