minor injury question
I looked on here for this topic, but couldn't find anything.
M 27yo, 232 lbs, SS LP
I recently stalled on squat as expected this week ("legitimately stuck" as PPST3 describes). However, my dumb self set the damn pins too low and got stuck at the bottom. With my upper back rounded over slightly, I had to let the bar slide down my upper back onto the pins and try to come forward. It happened quickly. But now the part of my spine that was under the bar as it slid feels sore and crackles around/just kind of aches. I was squatting 275 if that matters.
This happened on sunday night, it is now Tuesday afternoon, and it seems like it's getting better, but anytime I move a certain way or have to lift something up (like a mattress I had to move today) it aches and flares up again.
I've seen tons of stuff for low back protocol, but not too much for this kind of thing. I'm 99.9% sure it's my spine and not just the muscles in my upper back. Do you have any protocol advice on how to proceed? Is this the kind of injury I can just train through (please lord let it be so)? I don't think I've got any slipped discs or anything major like that. I haven't tried to lift with it as of yet. Had a session scheduled today, but pussed out.
thanks for your time

It doesn't sound like it's bothering you severely and needs some kind of immediate medical attention. That said, you should be able to tell as you get warmed up if it's making it feel better or worse. You'll probably be able to squat with it, but it will probably need to be lighter, maybe significantly so, till it's well enough to support a heavy weight again.

Fingers crossed I guess.
Do you think I could lift heavy with it if it just gets a little irritated? Or is that the wrong way to go about it and I shouldn't lift heavy with it until it's completely better?

Don't do anything that makes it feel worse. This could be during, or after, the workout. And if it doesn't get worse but also doesn't continue getting better, that could also be an indication that what you're doing is preventing the recovery rather than facilitating it.
(In case that wasn't clear enough: yes, that is the wrong way to go about it)
