Tips on lowering jerks and snatches
Specially for doing 2's and 3's.
Also, I train with iron plates, so droping the bar from overhead is not an option.

Lower them under control, catch them at the thigh, and set them down under control.

It seems to me that weightlifters have a way to "break the fall" of the barbell by bending at the knees. I can do that with cleans, but I'm struggling to get the timing right or something when the bar falls from overhead...

Get weightlifting straps for the snatches, makes lowering very doable. Cleaning with straps is controversial though.
