    Hi Guys

I am currently running the rippedbody.com beginners powerlifting program, but I want to move over to your SS model.

    I am 43 years old. 6 feet tall, 210lbs.

I am due to attempt the following in my next workouts.

    Bench Press: 160lbs 3 sets of 3.
    Deadlift: 260lbs 3 sets of 3.
    Press: 72lbs 4 sets of 10
    Squat: 187lbs 3 sets of 4
    Row: 132lbs 4 sets of 10
Bulgarian Split Squats: 100lbs 3 sets of 8
    Lat machine: 220lbs 4 sets of 10.

My question is, at what entry point of the SS program should I enter?

Should I jump in straight at the start in phase 1 - Squat, Bench Press/Press (alternating), Deadlift. Phase 2 where deadlifts are alternated with power cleans. Phase 3 where chin ups are introduced. Or phase 4 where a lighter squat day are incorporated?

The reason why I ask is I am just getting back into strength training after a few years off. I was doing strong lifts but I damaged my legs from all the squatting I think and it scared me into quitting.

    Thanks in advance?

Read this, do exactly what it says. Your current numbers do not justify any modification of the novice program.

Phase 0: Learning the lifts correctly per the blue book. With the weights you're handling , you did not get injured from "all the squatting" but all of the squatting ~poorly~.
