It’s okay to cry when you miss a lift or even have a shitty workout. I’m telling you, it's okay. There are only a few occasions when it is okay to cry: When you lose a championship football game, when your dog dies, any movie where the dog dies (not the cat), or when you miss a lift or have a shitty training session. That’s it.

    Excellent piece as always, Jim.

Personally, I've shed more tears over making lifts than missing them.

Having been weak and intermittently debilitated before discovering the program and its follow-ups, I have great joy and gratitude from being able to move weight, and from not being laid up and useless from physical activity.

Mr. Steel never disappoints. "I Have to Train" remains my favorite that requires, at minimum, an annual read.

"Do I think less of people if they don't lift weights? Yes. I do." Pure gold!
