Recent milestones, now 3 lifts over bodyweight!
Hey Team,
I've had a few breakthroughs lately and I wanted to share. Not awesome enough for the thread of awesome, perhaps... but.
OK, so, I've porked up about 10 lbs from the holidays and I need to address that -- putting me at 212 lbs now -- but I finally reached a point where my work sets on 3 exercises are above my body weight!
Work sets yesterday:
Bench: 235x5x3
Squat: 290x5x3
Dead: 315x5
Presses and power cleans are still in the 165-175 range, so I'm 30 lbs away. What's cool though is that a couple of times lately I've been pressing more than the guy in the rack next to me is squatting! Yeah, my gym is not big on heavy lifters, me included. My goal is to get all my working sets over 200 lbs in 2019 and also to lose that holiday chub in the meantime.
