Is this patellar tendonitis?
This first started happening about 2 months ago. About 12 or so hours after squatting, i'd get pain in what I think is the patellar tendon: the area right under to about an inch down from the middle of the bony part of the knee. It's always in my right knee, and occasionally in my left, though I almost never feel it there.
The pain is triggered only when I put pressure on the leg while it's bent, so when the knee extends to around where the toes are. For example, if i'm sitting down and stand up, with a bit more weight on my right foot, i'll feel the pain. Everything is fine when I walk and my legs are relatively straight. I sometimes feel it in the starting position for deads too. It lasts from 12 hours after I squat to a few days after.
I took a break for a month due to sickness and injury and it cleared up when I stopped squatting. The second workout back, it happened again.
I keep my knees out and they do not go past my toes when I squat, and I can get a video up to show this a bit later. Does this sound like patellar tendonitis? What can I do about it?
