I think I already know the answer... but the optimist in me hopes I'm being too critical. So, does this single at 410 look a smidge high?

Your video is bad enough that I could not tell you for sure. It might be deep enough. Then again, maybe not. Read the sticky next time for help on videos.

Heh, yeah I know the vid's not up to par – that's my patented phone-on-the-basement-stairs review technique normally reserved for personal use only. Thanks for attempting to take a look.

And I know you're the lifting technique guys rather than the video posting technique guys....

But seeing the vid in the post, it's tiny on the screen in YouTube/website format, but on my phone the original fills the screen – any ideas on how to get a larger format to come through?

Two possibilities here. Idea 1: your phone is shooting at a resolution sufficient for its tiny screen, but when uploaded to the web, its limitations become apparent. Idea 2: however you are uploading the video is decreasing its resolution. What phone are you using? How are you uploading the video?

Also - put the phone on its side!

I may not lift perfectly. But I have posted clean videos!

Thanks Tom. I'll take a look at the settings and see if it lets me play with resolution. Ditto for my upload app (that's an iPhone 5 and YouTube's Capture app, respectively).

This was an on-the-fly, what the hell I'll just upload this clip, posting – the real solution is just to use my little HD flip cam and edit/upload properly. But this specific circumstance didn't allow that. And it would be nice to wrench a little better quality out of my phone if possible.

I hope you guys are taking Europe by storm, and that folks are buying you plenty of holiday drinks. Cheers!

The iPhone 5 certainly shoots good video. I would bet it is the app. Transfer the full video to a desktop and upload it from there.
