Default Squat - bending hips and knees simultaneously

I am having problems with bending both the hips and knees at the same exact time during the squat, less commonly during the unweighted squat for some reason, I am always forced to start bending one of them, and then I can barely bend the other one... Now I've began thinking it might be a good idea to think about bending the knees and leaning over simultaneously, instead of thinking about bending the knees and pushing the hips back simultaneously... Will it work? Or do I must think about the hips flexing as well, not just assuming a more horizontal back angle by leaning over?

You're not forced to bend one before the other, you just need to work on your technique. It doesn't matter what you think about, except to the extent that it effects what you do. If thinking about unicorns and Sherpas gets you to move your hips back while your knees go forward, do that.
