How is my form while doing the squats? I'll try and upload a video from the front later today.

Also, should I get squatting shoes? Where I come from I can only get the chinese dowins.

Good squats. Don't go quite so deep. Drive your hips up more. Also, don't spend quite so long getting set up. When that bar weighs 400 pounds, you will want to get things underway sooner rather than later. Lifting shoes are a good investment. I have only owned Do-wins and I like them.

Tom, aren't the OP's knees sliding forward continuously during the squat? His knees seem way too forward vis-a-vis his toes - is this bad form or does it have to do with his anthropometry?

Yeah, they are. I am hoping that cutting off the depth and focusing more on the hips will solve those issues. He has fairly normal anthropometry, so the knees thing is a form fault.

thanks a lot, actually this is something I notice a bit as well, and I bought the do-wins! And it's actually making my knees kinda tender, probably because the heel+shifting my knees out more. I'm going to work on my form and send a new video tomorrow!

Squat check 2 with my new dowins. Something is not right, my lower back feels weird, like when you're about to crack a knuckle.

Please read the sticky on filming form checks. Shots from the side have their uses, but a rear oblique is better.

Your squats don't look bad at all. You descend quicker than I would like and your knees may be going a little too far forward, but I am kind of nitpicking. Stay tight and drive your hips up, even through the middle of the ascent. Good work. Eat more food.
