    Default Deadlift alternative

Yesterday I pulled 205kg for 5 reps easily. I expect to be pulling 220kg for 5 within the month.

I am an intermediate doing madcows 5x5 and want to milk linear gains for as long as I can (at least till im squatting 200 for 5 reps). This means ditching a full deadlift.

Can anyone give me some deadlift alternatives? i heard that haltings one week and rack pulls the other was a good set up, but on further reading rippetoe actually recommended haltings/rack pulls rotated with power cleans. I cannot power clean for shit (please do not lecture me on the awesomeness of power cleans).

Can someone give me a good method to train the deadlift on the wednesday without fucking up my recovery? thanks.

i basically do a 5x5 squat one week and then deadlift the next. i still squat, i just lower the squat weight significantly. slows squat progress down but i never found another solution. regardless where i put deadlift, it would mess up my squat for a week anyway.

ever try some waxy maize for ultimate recovery?

Sumo Deadlift, much easier on your back because of more leg involvement makes for a quicker recovery.
