for me personally, i found out that clenching my jaw during neck harness work definitely helps. but how about for the classical lifts squat/dead/bench/press/olifts? i'm not at all sold with the "specific" technology of the agility guard but i do have a mouth piece in my drawer from my muay thai PE class.
thoughts? experiences?

There's a thread on something similar that has my views. Basically, don't knock it before you try it...and some anecdotal stuff directly from dentists.
This is an old idea in MA, if anyone cares. And while the medicine aspects of traditional MA can be full of weirdness, the biomechanical principles tend to hold up, even if the paradigms used to explain them are outdated and mystical.
