Two questions:
1. Is it a good idea to do my warm up sets with maximum speed? (With the idea that the explosiveness will translate over into my work sets)
2. I'm close to the end of novice progression, doing advanced novice. My pulls are at 340lbs and are starting to feel real heavy. Instead of a deload in the near future, would switching to 3 reps be a good idea to continue milking progression?

Possibly. Or perhaps it's the Fry-factor, because they are so heavy relative to 1RM. I don't really know, but that has been my experience.
