    I just saw a pretty impressive video of John Cena very easily pulling 638. This got me thinking;

    Do you know what the all time lift records are at your Gym?

    Would be interesting to hear.

    By guest lifters or my regular members? I'd have to try and remember. People have been lifting here for nearly 30 years, but we've had few high-level competitors.

    We never did those. Because they're stupid. I did 245 x 20 one time. That was stupid too.

    Cena's deadlift @WFAC was very cool. Any chance we see an interview with him?

    Whatever you can remember. I guess regular member numbers are interesting as it sort of shows what the 'end product' of training hard in a place like WFAC can be. And guest numbers are interesting for sheer freakishness. Im sure there have been many impressively strong people who have lifted at your gym who are not necessarily famous and may have never competed, so have been forgotten along the way.

    How about the big five lifts and the Snatch/C&J?

    Captain Kirk squatted at WFAC but he only did around 400lb. Did Shane Hamman also lift while he was there for the interview?

    Is there any lift you haven't tried while making to become stronger?

    None. I didn't meet the guy, he trained early Sunday morning with our permission. He has a nice deadlift, and he left the place as he found it, so he's probably a good guy.

    Squat: Several of us squatted in the low/mid 600s when we were competing in the 80s. Shane's been here several times, but didn't train.
    Deadlift: Everybody was pulling in the low 600s, two or three of us in the low 700s.
    Bench: There have been a few low 500's done here within the past decade. Steve Peterson, training here now, is a good bencher.
    Press: I thi nk our best press was Matt Wanat at about 315 recently.

    Donnie Shankle C&Jed 205k on a Saturday afternoon in April 2006, and I think he snatched 175 that same day. This was back when he was training the squat and deadlift for heavy 5s. I remember a 535 x 5 x 3 squat workout, and a 555 x 5 deadlift.

    I've tried them all except the obviously stupid ones.
