I haven't even considered it. Once again, I am not and will never be in the equipment business.
I have a pair of "Rips" weightlifting shoes that are getting close to needing to be replaced. Does anybody have any experience with the 2012 Rogue Weightlifting Shoes? I have always gotten good products from Rogue and the price is right around my budget.
Rip have you thought of talking to someone about putting the shoe that carries your name back into production?
Thanks

I recently bought a pair of the Rogue Do-wins that you are asking about. They are very solid, the soles are heavy and the crepe style sole gets a very good grip on the floor. They aren't the slickest shoe ever in overall construction. My left shoe didn't fit well at first over my mid-foot, particularly when I tightened the straps, but they broke in over the course of a couple of weeks and are fine now. I followed the advice on the site of other reviewers and bought a pair a half size smaller than the running shoes I use, which worked to make them rock-solid at gripping my feet. Try them on when you get them before stripping the tags; if they're the wrong size, send them back.
I bought a pair of these shoes and have been using them since August. I've owned one other pair in the past. I like these Rogues a lot - no regrets.
I've had them since January and they're fine. I don't really think about them and balance and all that is fine. They're comfortable.
I am currently using them. They do what they are supposed to, and so in that sense I would recommend them. However, they are probably the cheapest shoes available and it shows. Mine started to come apart within months and are currently in critical conditional after less than a year, which reading around seems to be a common occurance. They would be good for someone looking for their first shoe who is yet to be convinced of the benefit of proper footwear and so hesistant to drop closer to $200. However, for anyone who's already crossed that barrier it seems their cheapness is a false economy and you'll end up having to buy another pair again in a relatively short time span.
Your name is still on the York-made bar sold through Rogue though. I know you don't get paid for it but what was the problem with the previous shoes that had your name on them? They wouldn't be mistaken for $200 Nikes but it would be nice to have a shoe with a less dramatic heel compared to other Oly shoes.
I've tried an older pair of Wei-Ruis and their heel height is lower than other big brands and they're very budget-friendly if you want an alternative to the $130 Rogues.
Yes, this is true. I designed the bar. I make no money from its sale. What is your point?
The problem was Rogue's ability to ensure an adequate supply. The shoes were very good, but filling the orders became a problem.I know you don't get paid for it but what was the problem with the previous shoes that had your name on them? Rip, The Safe squat shoes.....are these closer to the the your recommended heel height?
