I think we did a pretty good job of describing the way to learn how to clean in the book. I think you should try it.
Rip,
I've never really received coaching on the power clean and in the recent past I've been on lifting programs that did not include them.
Now I'm doing SS, and I've realized that despite having read the book and watched the DVD, I could still use some live coaching on this lift, which I'll get at the seminar in March.
If I try to learn the lift on my own, I may accidentally reinforce technique flaws, which will make me harder to coach. Do you think it would be wise for me to omit the power cleans and learn them correctly the first time at the seminar?

Maybe just post a video in the technique forum?
Yeah, after he breaks down and actually tries the exercise.
I've power cleaned in the past, but not within a year or so. I always struggled to consistently find the correct jumping point and to land with a symmetrical stance.
Considering your advice, I'll work on executing the lift the best I can for now and will address mistakes at the seminar.
Thanks for your input.
