That would be Kendrick Ferris.
Upon my discharge from active duty I stopped long slow cardio and started squatting-under the aegis of Starting Strength. I progressed to sets of 355 and then became sidetracked with Olympic Lifting , and I bought into the HBBS. Bad mistake. I got weaker and didn't have the power feel the low-bar squat gives me. Also, my front squat went down even though I started training it more frequently. Consequently, when I was performing the LBBS, I could front squat 315 without training the lift. Now it's an anemic 250 front squat. Moral of story: I am a believer and back on board. Sad thing is my snatch and cleans didn't improve during this digression.
Also, who is America's strongest weightlifter?
That would be Kendrick Ferris.
