Makes sense. Switch Dips and Chins on Monday and Tuesday. You may have to play with your sets/reps. 3x5 doesn't work forever
Started SS back up again in August and have since progressed to the Advanced Novice program. Numbers are:
Height: 6'4" BW: 200 -> 225
SQ: 155 -> 330 reset once on squats, no reset otherwise.
DL: 235 -> 415
BP: 150 -> 220
OP: 100 -> 147.5
PC: 115 -> 190
I am still slowly progressing on my lifts and I plan to keep doing that as long as I can before I stall. However, I have reached a point where I don't really want to put on any more fat. My plan is to cut out the milk and clean up the diet keep doing Advanced Novice until I stall. Then do more of a strength and conditioning LP 4day split to lean out:
Mon: SQ 3x5, OP 3x5, Chins
Tues: PC 5x3, Dips, conditioning
Thurs: SQ 3x5, BP 3x5, LTE 3x8
Fri: DL 1x5, Pullups, conditioning
Does this plan make sense? I want to get to a solid 230, but 10-12% BF rather than the 18% or so currently.

Would it make sense to change it up like this then? Of course I don't know what that would do to the DL's on Friday.
A WEEK
Mon: SQ 5x5, OP 5x5, LTE 3x8 (Volume Day)
Tues: PC 5x3, Chins, conditioning
Thurs: SQ 1x5, BP 1x5, Dips (Intensity Day)
Fri: DL 1x5, Pullups, conditioning
B WEEK
Mon: SQ 5x5, BP 5x5, LTE 3x8 (Volume Day)
Tues: PC 5x3, Chins, conditioning
Thurs: SQ 1x5, OP 1x5, Dips (Intensity Day)
Fri: DL 1x5, Pullups, conditioning
This is pretty interesting, what kind of weight jumps would follow both the first and second programming? You couldn't make the typical 5lb jumps doing the second listed program while on a recomp diet could you?
How about:
Mon: Volume Squat/PC/Chins
Wed: Volume Bench/Light Press/Dips (Alternate bench & press each week each week)
Fri: Light Squat/Heavy Pull/Conditioning
Is there no disadvantage to not having a heavy squat day? I figured a volume day and heavy day for squats would be a staple for the program? I'm thinking I might do this soon I wanna lean out a little before making the long haul on Texas method and whatever after that.
Say I lose 10-15 lbs is this really gonna have much of an effect on optimizing my leverage arms?
It all depends on where you are at in your training. Sometimes that second heavy day is good, sometimes its not. 10-15 lb weight loss will affect pressing strength for sure. Maybe squats. Just depends on how fat you are.
