Simple question. My friend is 5' 9" and is doing SS. He weighs 181. Should he gain weight? If so how much?

I know SS says to weigh at least 150... but I wanted your opinion for an optimal weight for my friend. Thanks.

My view of your friend is amazingly bad from here, so I can't tell.

This has been a weird day.

I've heard that there's a secret procedure by which male trainees 5'6 or below can apply for a waiver from Mr. Rippetoe entitling them to only weigh 185. Other than that, the law is the law, and the law says an adult male weighs at least 200 lbs.

I have petitioned Rip and Stef to stop selling t-shirts in a size called "Men's Small" on their website due to this blatant hypocrisy.

There for a second, I thought this said something about a "post-op image".

Hey Rip, my wife just repainted our upstairs hallway. It's a shade or two lighter than it was previously. Do you think it's too light?

You need to find out how much his penis and testicles contribute to the 181 before a determination can be made. Go weigh them and report back.

if he's "starting" strength he won't weigh 181 when he theoretically finishes assuming he's DTP

I think, sometimes, we see what we want to see.
