    Coaches,

This is my last video for form check: http://youtu.be/-Tc1tB7Ipto

I have never had my bench press critiqued.

    Thanks!

Set your shoulders before each rep. By that I mean actively retract your scapulae. Pretend someone is jamming a hand into your back and you are trying to pinch it with your shoulder blades. Try to hold that "pinch" for each rep. If it comes out as you push the bar up, reset it before the next rep.

Also, stop benching altogether and do whatever shoulder workout that guy is doing behind you. You'll probably have to get a sweet tank top too.

I should probably share the video of the same dude trying to use the smith machine as a leg press laying on the floor. Disclaimer: I was taping my squats and the smith machine is right next to it.

Thanks for the feedback and the cue. It makes sense. Now to think of it, I do have my scapulae retracted hard when I unrack the bar, but by the time I press, I do lose that "tightness". So, for all the subsequent reps my shoulders are not retracted.
