    Default Programming Mark Bells Slingshot

    Hi Andy,

    Wondering how you would program the slingshot with a Texas method split? Currently dropping weight, so my lifts are going down. Details below:

    28 male
    Bodyweight from 260 to 250

    Recent lifts:
    Squat 425x4 (failed 5th)
    Press 212.5x2
    Deadlift 470x2
    Bench 250x4 (failed 5th)

    Monday:
    Intensity Press
    Volume Bench

    Tuesday:
    Power Cleans
    Intensity Deadlift
    Volume Squat
    Chin-ups

    Wednesday:
    Off

    Thursday:
    Intensity Bench
    Volume Press

    Friday:
    Intensity Squat
    Chin-ups

    Just ordered it, never used one before so to get used to it, I was thinking throwing it after Intensity Bench. Maybe same weight, just repeat the same set/reps for more volume. What do you think?

    Use it alongside or in place of your intensity bench press workout. Never used one so I don't know the specifics of programming it. But I'd think of it as a mechanism to overload the movement - like a reverse band bench or partial bench. Better for heavy weights that stimulate the CNS rather than for reps
