Has anyone used these bumper grip plates from York Barbell?

Any thoughts on how durable compared to other disk style bumpers, how well they hold up when dropped?

I've never used them or seen them used. They would certainly appear easier to grip and maneuver than traditional bumper plates, but I'd worry about them bending and not staying round over many drops. Also, it looks like the coloring scheme is different than what I'm used to. Red is usually 25/55, blue 20/45, etc, while these have red 45's and blue 35's.

What these would be good for . . . say, in teaching pulls, cleans, etc. while taping videos from the side (slo mo, etc). . . .you can see thru the plates (sort of). . . .see the bar posistion relative to the shin, knee, hip, how close to body, etc. More than 2 plates? you could throw a zip tie on there to keep the spokes aligned to maintain the window. Thats about all I see they are good for (unless cheaper than bumpers).
