I'm not really a rank beginner but have moved to the starting strength program after 6 months or so using the workout from the "A workout routine" website. I'm 39 years old, 193 cm tall (6'3"), 95 kg (210 lbs). Maxes in this program squat 100 kg (220 lb), Press 55 kg (121 lb), Deadlift 125 kg (275 lb), Bench 87.5 kg (170.5 lb) and Power Clean 50 kg (110 lb) .I've done starting strength for the last month and a half with some small interuptions for a family funeral and a cold. After the cold which was a week and a half off (4 workouts) I reset by 10% on the squat and the press only. I haven't missed a rep except for the press where I routinely miss last set reps at 55kg (121 lb). I have orders microplates. Here is my progress in graphical form.

In Summary
Squat 3 x 5 @ 102.5 kg (225.5 lb) - felt heavy and knee tendonitis bothering me mentally, last set form breaking down.
Bench 3 x 5 @ 80 kg (176 lb) - all good
Back Extensions 3 x 12 @ 10 kg (22 lb) - don't like the setup at the gym for these, might drop them
chins bodyweight 94.86 kg (208.6 lb) 7,6,3 - don't now what happened here normally get at least 5 on the last set, rest 4 min so should've been OK.

In Summary
Squat 3 x 5 @ 105 kg (231 lb) - last set a struggle, favoring left side (knee sore) 4 min + rest
Press 55 kg (121 lb) - 5,5,4 - 4 min rest between set, 1 rep more than last time.
Deadlift 1 x 130kg (286 lb) - easy
bodyweight 94.7 kg (208.3 lb)

Summary
Squat 3 x 5 @ 105 kg (231 lb) - "stronger isn't more weight on the bar" hard, rests up to 5 min but good form esp. last set
Bench 3 x 5 @ 82.5 kg (176 lb) - long rests, all good
Back Extensions 3 x 12 @ bodyweight - OK without weight
chins bodyweight 94.9 kg (208.78 lb) 7,6,6 - better
bodyweight 94.9 kb (208.78 lb)
