    Default Allergic to Chalk? WTF?!?!

So after I lift, I get some kind of light rash-like stuff on my head. Kinda looks like razor burn on my shaved head. I don't really care and it's not that serious, but the wife calls me out on it every time. I don't actually know if it's because of the bar (I have a B&R), but I'm more certain that it's the chalk or the dust. I use Bison chalk (magnesium carbonate). So what to do? Eco-Ball? I might try it. But has this happened to anyone? Thanks, everyone.

You suggest you have an allergic reaction on a part of your body that does not even touch the said allergen? I would be skeptical about that. Have you tried different chalk, a session without chalk to see if it really is it, or any other variants leading to potentially discriminate the possible causes?

That would be my guess. I get the same around my eyes on maximal squats.

If you are allergic to something then you have to stay away in contact with such things before it irritates you and become a disease. That could cause you to have a contact dermatitis because a chalk acts as an allergen to you.

Is the issue chalk falling on your shiny pate? Or are you thinking contact with hands is causing it on your head? Maybe touching head at some point with your hands? Simple test... lift with a cap on.

All good points! Thanks all. I'll try a different chalk and will try wearing a cap. I'll keep trying to narrow it down.
