    I started lifting may 21st. I was 140 lbs. I weighed myself today and I'm 157 lbs.

    I don't think it's fat since I'm actually slimmer.

I used to lift 5 years ago, and was 205 lbs at my peak.

Unless someone fucked with the scale at the gym, god bless muscle memory.

Did you check and make sure you didn't accidentally have on a 15lb weight vest?

I'm not bullshitting ya'll, I honestly don't think this is possible, but it's what the scale told me.

p.s. I'm in Astoria, where do you lift?

Equinox on 92nd, West Side. They have 4 squat racks and bumper plates, so except for the cost, it works out well.

When I was 25, my body would react pretty quickly to working out. Now, not so much Do not get old.

Weird. Did you weigh yourself at the same time, keeping "weigh in conditions" as uniform as possible? Muscle memory isn't really an explanation... muscles don't "remember" to pack on 17 pounds in 11 days lol.

I just want to say your scale is busted. Even if you were dehydrated for the first, then stuffed with food for the second, 17 pounds is astronomical, especially for somebody of your size.

Its definitely not muscle. More likely you just ate and drank more than before you started, and it's water weight.
