    Awesome, thanks! Done and done.

Will definitely consider it depending on affordability (and whether you'll have me... given the indication that you only want people who are 100% committed to DTFP... clearly I have some issues there mostly in the diet/weight dept)

We put out a great testimonial from a couple of our clients today, Annie, and John. Two totally normal people who have made excellent (but normal) gains on the program.

    Short but fun read...

Awesome gains by Annie and John. Didn't notice any power clean numbers though. Did they do the LP without them?

    Jake,

Annie did cleans in the beginning. She has an AC bone spur, that really needs to be shaved down, and racking the cleans bothered her.

John is a middle-aged guy who just wanted to get generally stronger. We ended up deciding not to power clean with him because of the limitations of both online coaching and his range of motion. Its certainly not impossible to online coach cleans...but its so fast, that's its very hard to "cue" after the fact - and hard to see nuances from a video. The other lifts have little degradation from in person to online coaching, but power cleans are definitely difficult to coach from a distance.

Makes total sense, slowing down the footage and/or watching frame by frame sounds like a huge pain. May I ask what you alternated with the dead in place of the cleans? I'm guessing chins or pull downs? Thanks and looking forward to learning more about the online program.

We slow down the video and play frame-by-frame all the time - we don't mind doing that at all - its not so much as a pain, but rather the cueing doesn't translate as well on power clean as it does for the other slower lifts.

For most my clients, in early novice LP they deadlift 3x per week, then when that gets too taxing we alternating deadlifts with either lighter deadlifts or chins/rows.
