    Default Squat Form Check

    Greetings,

It has been months since I had anyone critique my form and I'm probably due for some maintenance. I've never uploaded to the SS forums before, so hopefully I've done things correctly. Had to figure out how to work Youtube, etc.

37yo, 188lbs BW. The video is the second of four sets. I'm running Andy Baker's Garage Gym Warrior and this is week 2 (75% of a 400lb 1RM), so not the ideal maximal weight fives for form check purposes. Looks to me like I'm going a bit deep, and at first I thought there was a bit of knee slide I wasn't happy with, but now I'm not sure.

    Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Your unrack could be tighter. Maybe even lower the hooks. At any rate, actually stand up and stop for a moment, then step back. Your stance may be a little bit wide and it looks like your shins are being kept a few degrees too vertical.

Your stance looks a bit wide and based on how your heels had to come up off the ground in order for you to unrack and rack the bar, you probably should lower the pins a notch. Other than that they looked pretty decent to me although it kinda looked like your weight was shifting a little bit at the bottom instead of staying over the midfoot.
