Some people and some climates require more warmup than others. If you find that a short cardio warmup is helpful, do it. But it is not absolutely necessary.
Dear Mark,
Forgive my continued questions, but they are the result of continued reading of your books, and I always search the forum first to see if they are answered elsewhere.
I am unclear as to whether the 5-minutes aerobic warm-up is necessary before barbell training. I had gotten the impression from SS:BBT that a five-minute cardio warm-up can be substituted by a proper squat warm-up, however the Nuts and Bolts chapter of PP seems to suggest that a five-minute cycle/row should be mandatory. Your assistance in clearing this up is much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Drew
