Why no padding on the bench?

While I have personally never tried to bench press on a non padded bench I can't imagine it would be comfortable.

Because it looks cool, feels better, and makes keyboard trainees wonder.

It's also less work for DIY home gym owners. Less work in general, really.

    It does look awesome.

Instagram is currently having a meltdown over this...so the third objective has been achieved, on multiple platforms.

I’ve yet to qualify the feeling better aspect, but I prefer a firm pad, so I’m very open to this being a great option.

Sadly, that statement will shatter the minds of some. But I like the way you apply sarcasm, sir.

Many seem concerned w/how to prevent bacteria and germs from turning the bench into a Petrie Dish ...yet they don’t realize that most butcher block is naturally takes care of that through the properties of the wood.

It seems none of them own a Boos block or similar fine cutting boards...I’d imagine these are also the same type of folks that bathe themselves and their spawn in hand sanitizer then wonder why they have no natural immune defense to their environment.
