Supplemental Lifts for Knee Rehab
I tore the interior tendon in my knee and it's time to rebuild. It was non surgical and I spent 8 weeks in a brace limiting mobility. I got clearance this week to go back to the gym.
I'm planing on starting at the beginning with a standard NLP and see where it goes.
Are there any additional lifts or exercises that will help build back the strength around my knee?
I'm a 57 year old male, 5'10" 200lbs with a 280 squat and 305 dead lift for reps before the accident.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Roger, back to the basics and concentrate on form!
-
What was the name of the structure you ruptured?
-
Medial and lateral collateral ligaments, primarily the medial.
-
The medial collateral ligament is part of the joint capsule, and, as such, it has a robust blood supply. This makes MCL injuries very capable of healing on their own. They are otherworldly painful when injured, for exactly the same reason, but from a prognostication standpoint, they do very well.

Will,
I don't completely understand what you are saying but I'm taking from it that 1. I can really hurt! 2. Get back under the bar and get stronger because it will head!
hahahahahah,
Thanks!

Gentlemen, thank you both for your encouragement. Back under the bar this morning. Got my baselines set and I'm good to go. Thank You!
