Deadlift alternating grip quesation
Just curious if the alternating grip on the deadlift will have any major impact on back/shoulder muscle development or if it inhibits the amount of muscle mass used in the lift. I want to use double overhand grip/hook grip as long as i can but wanted to know some facts before i decide to switch to the alternating grip.

Main fact to know: If you cannot hold the bar with a double overhand grip, you will either have to hook or alternate, or you cannot continue to progress the deadlift. All else is irrelevant.
