Gregory Hess: Developing Corps Strength: An Appeal to the Military Service Academies
-
Thanks - great article, but as a service academy grad I can tell you they will never learn. If anything, it will only get worse from here. They will likely move towards planet fitness lunk alarm style testing, disregard all standards because they are systemically biased and all of that stuff. These institutions are ironically now becoming more woke than the Harvards and the Stanfords of the world. Additionally, since academy grads have to integrate to the service's general population upon graduation, they will never stray too much from the overall standard, which we know is based on complete nonsense. When I was in basic at the academy, there was a 6'5" guy who played football in high school and could have ripped me limb from limb. They constantly picked on him because he couldnt do this or that nonsense exercise the right way or the right number of times. Meanwhile I was 5'7" and weak as a string bean and it all came easy to me. They don't know what they're doing, don't want to learn and in fact want to unlearn and devolve into wokeism and other such craziness. They will always find some crazy story of some dude who went down behind enemy lines and became a toothpick to justify why we should all do so - they pull that crap nonstop when I was there. As if how you are after months in captivity is relevant to how you ought to be heading into the conflict. We have a lot of good people in our military (I hope I came close to being one) but also especially amongst the colonels and generals a lot of careerist dime a dozen scumbags who will fold like cheap tents as the rug is pulled from underneath this country.
