    Press w/arc 42x5 92x3 102x5,5,5

    Squat 45x3 135x1 185x3,3,3

Retracing some ground finally on the squat.

Got my jon boat out on a local river with my daughter and her dog, Mookles. (good name for a Yorkie)
Mookles is a rescue and apparently has spent a lot of time on the water and just loved the 3 hour tour.
    I'd say a bimini is a must for a 92 degree day.
I've learned a lot about boats, and saved a ton of money by doing things myself.
I figured a boat project is a good preparation for retirement.
My son-in-law fishes, and this will fish 3 with raised swivel seats.
My daughter had a great time, and her dog just was crazy happy.
(which helps the daughter be happy)
Boat launch is 20 minutes away.
Boat is easy to tow, at about 1500 pounds total... a little more than a jet ski.
But I'm rated for 6 people.
I get about 19 mpg towing with my Sienna Minivan.

    specs: Grizzley Tracker 1754
Evinrude E-tec 25 hp electric start (rated for 50 hp)
    1100 gph bilge pump
    Bimini
    Trailer weight about 1500
    top speed 23 mph 1 person (21 with 3)
    6 people
3 swivel seats (Blaine Farm and fleet)
This boat was about $7k to $8k. A comparable boat (3 seats and a console/live well) would be $18k. I would not trade my boat for the $18k one, which has 40 hp.
I'm a lot easier to tow, lighter, cheaper... just better.
Boat feels real good at between 12 mph and 16 mph. Good ride.
I really don't want to go 30 mph. Too loud, too much wind. maybe it is all my time kayaking.

6/18/2021 Friday in the crazy month of June

    Dead lift 135x5 225x3 258x2,0,0

first rep at 258 stopped about 4", rallied, probably was too far forward.
The planned 3rd rep barely broke ground.

So, of course I decided I'd do two more... twice.
Both broke ground... but not much.
I've added some volume, maybe that caught up with me.

    Press w/arc 42x5 92x3 103x5,5,5 +1

    Squat 45x3 135x1 190x3,3,3

Struggled some on depth. Squats have been puzzlingly bad.

Took the yacht (ok jon boat) out on a local river. It was 2' low according to my son-in-law. We had 8 miles of river largely to ourselves. Had the motor pitched up as far as possible, and still had a lot of bumps along the way. There were maybe 4-5 jet skis. But storms were threatening, and the water was low, and it was overcast. So really the perfect day for a boat with a shallow draft and a bimini. LOL. It was a blast. But even set for shallow running and trying to stay "reasonably" deep we hit a lot of submerged stuff and mud. From the boat launch we literally had to paddle out 20 yards before we could drop the motor to "shallow" setting. LOL. The perfect Father's day.

The boat behaved great, as did my daughter's Yorkie.

Granny: Yeah, Green Grass and High Tides Forever, is in several of my workout mixes. Love the guitar work. A song that transcends genre. But it did get me listening to their other stuff.

The Fox River? I floated that down past the cliffs around Yorkville many moons ago. Beautiful trip.

    Mark:
Yes just north of Elgin, Voyagers landing. The boat launch there is a mud fest, couldn't even drop the motor until I paddled out 30 yards. The river is down close to 2 feet I'm told. There's a dam every 4 to 8 miles. There are two other places that are pretty close as well. My cunning plan is to go down to Starve Rock, east of the dam, so we can cruise the sights we've walked in the park. Also an interesting river in its own right.

In my triathlon days, I rode the Fox River trail from Aurora to McHenry. I've also kayaked a lot of this river. I even saw a bald eagle on it once.

Sunday we cruised from the center of Elgin to two miles north of I-90. It got real shallow on us, but also there is a "historic" bridge (wreck) which is a notable hazzard under most conditions, that probably would have prevented us from going much further anyway.
