Press 72x5 95x3 105x5,5,0,5 mind drifted on the third set and it got out in front of me... gravity is predictable
Rack Pull 135x3 185x1 230x1,3 255x3 mind is clearly somewhere else, thought I changed the plates, so and extra triple with 230

Bench 45x5 95x3 135x1 152x5,5,5 +1
Squat 45x3 95x1 135x1 160x1 179x3,3,3 +1
Probably should have lat pulled instead of bench.
Squat felt lighter probably because of the progress on Rack pulls and halted dl's.
Work is more or less insane. They "need" me to do a month's worth of 16 hour days in two weeks.
Drifting into FU territory.
OH, they need me to come in an hour early to listen to Europeans talk about how great they are.
This promises to be special.
Perhaps I should be amused to watch them flush $90M/yr in revenue ($30M/yr in margin) down the tubes.

Mike I think it's great that you are getting in a couple of lift days a week...that leads to good gains. Your lifting plan looks interesting.
Sorry about your work situation. I actually went past my planned retirement date after getting a very good bump up in salary and 401 benefits. BUT when you have had enough that's it...YMMV. Retirement is one of the best moments of my life.

My wife and I both reached the point at which we knew we could not work at the capacity that was personally satisfying. It was more of a grind than a satisfactory event. So we both retired at age 66. I sometimes wish I could do more but volunteer opportunities come about and then I wrote my book. Maybe I will do more. But we are satisfied with our decisions.
work is insane right now, yes indeed, and with this 'transitory' inflation Brandon brought us the next 8+ months will only be more...interesting.
When in doubt, deadlift lol

Lat Pull 65x5 110x1 123x5,5,5
HDL 135x3 185x2 238x1 265x3
Better order straps... bigger numbers are coming
238 felt heavy... but 265 didn't feel any heavier... so much for feelings

Lots of doubt... so lots of deadlifts
Carson:
I'm sure you are right.

My gut tells me that they are screwing up complex things that they have no way of fixing... so it will end up my problem to fix once all their budget is gone.
I feel that way because of multiple cycles of this pattern, in different industries, technology, and political environments.
Retirement has never been an option, so my "feelings" are in tune with it. So much like with today's HDL, my feelings didn't matter.
It feels good to be making progress again. Half tempted to keep adding 10 lbs a cycle. It is surprising to me that it has worked this well.
I seem to recall that about here I was reverse gripping, but I'm double overhand no straps so far.
Awesome on your pulls coming up!! As Browndog told me...ride the wave.
After a few copy and paste of your lifts and I had your workouts laid out one after the other for a couple months I can see that you are just rotating the lat pulls with the presses ever so often. Cool idea which goes to show what do I know...lol. I wished that I had a way to do lat pulls.
It sounds like the people at work are giving you job security by screwing things up.
Congrats on the progress.
Fred J:
Thanks for the feedback.
My pattern was a simple 3 workout cycle with
one Squat or dead
one Lat Pull or Press or Bench
Now
one HDL or Rack Pull or Squat
one Lat Pull or Press or Bench
Where I got messed up is skipping my squat / lat pull cycle to move up the HDL.
In the process I missed a Lat Pull, and managed to confuse myself.
In my log this is a grid, with 3 pairs of movements in the left column. You can see a lot of history easy this way.
Everything feels easier. Like early LP. My workouts are brief and doable even in hectic times.
I ordered some straps, I managed to lose my old pair.
If the rack pull goes up like the HDL, I think I will continue to ride the 10 lb incr wave.

Press 72x5 106x5,5,5
RPL 135x3 185x1 238x1 265x3 no grind at all
Perhaps this suggests that I am a wimp, and don't have better numbers because I don't grind enough on lifts.
I clearly recall this weight involving a lot more grind. I believe my PR for reps is 267 for a deadlift set of 5.
Maybe the grind was on #4 and #5 of the set.
next cycle +10... 275 halted dl's and Rack pulls.
