    I find the prevailing lack of gratitude for what the generations before us did, astounding.
    Probably stems from laziness.

    we've had too easy a life for too long a time, we don't realize all the suffering that brought it about.

    3/19/2024 Tuesday

    Rack Pull 185x5 276x5 ***

    Bar = 45
    4x45 = 180
    2x25 = 50
    2x .5 = 1
    sum = 276 not 256 as my previous math would suggest.

    NordicTrak 10 min

    *** Apparently I can't be trusted to do plate math. Without the half bound plates I was calling this 255 previously in previous logs.
    So I didn't just jump up 21 pounds from last cycle. I only went up 1.

    So I'm stronger than I thought, but dumber than I thought... not sure how to score that.

    Maybe I should google "plate math for dummies".

    Mr. Bingley: The book above offers an interesting perspective, which the current "leisured" society lacks.

    I don't know when Sully's plans to pull the trigger on this but he is talking about a lifting seminar. We are in a larger gym now and it should be fairly easy to pull off. Moreover, we now have two assistant coaches and one or two in different stages of development. If you are interested I'll keep you apprised.

    VERY interested. You and Sully are my heroes in this.

    I just upgraded my 2007 Sienna to a 2020 in great shape. So the trip to Farmington (or where ever) is less of a problem. AWD on this guy means even in winter LOL.

    I still vividly recall the first seminar. I was very disappointed that you were not there. But, I got to shake Sully's hand and thank him. A 540 miles well traveled.

    Sully's coaching is epic.

    bw: 276 This needs to be more like 205

    Split Squat 40x8,8,8

    My cunning plan is to eat less food.
    Walk and NordicTrak more, and drink less.

    Failure is seldom due to a poor plan, it is a result of bad execution.

    May 10 is a checkpoint.
    I need to be at 252.5 on my 70th birthday.
    That is a half a pound a day.
    By November I need to be at 205.

    If you do get to 205 you will be as skinny as a rail. I'm 5'9" and shrinking but I weigh 215-220. I'll grant you, I'm not skinning but you are taller. If you make your goal I will congratulate you on a herculean effort but I may not recognize you.

    I wish you luck in your endeavor Mike. Just make sure to eat enough protein as I did not when I lost weight and lost too much muscle.
