I have been in and aroung the weight training world for too many years without consistently focusing on getting stronger. I tried HIT for too many years and worked to failure way too often. I am a 58 year old male. 5' 8" tall and 175 lbs. I have worked in the ICU for almost 17 years and the patients are getting bigger and fluffier. I have been using the SS method for the past 5 weeks. I missed 2 weeks of workouts due to a sinus infection and my father being in the hospital.I have been back at it for the past week making up lost ground.

It's been a bit since I first posted. Most of the month of October was spent with a family member in the hospital and then rehab. I got a few workouts here and there but not many and my back decided to call my attention to it a couple of times, I'm sure due to stress, etc. I have been lifting regularly since early December. I average two workouts a week.

Keep us updated on your progress. Life will have stops and starts. Seems to me the key is don't let the "stop" be the final cycle.

    Keep up the good work.
Sinus issues: I've had good luck with the squeeze bottle version of the salt water sinus rinse.

Realized I was not leaning forward enough for the bar to track over my mid-foot on Squats, so i was working on that this session. I am in the process of re-reading the Squat section in the Blue book. Also, working on my deadlift form. I feel I have it down pretty well. My back was fatigued from the squats so 4 was all with 190.

Great to see your getting your training in. I keep messing up my training by always switching things up and thinking I need to do more in order to get stronger. Invariably I've lost strength.
