Hey all! Quick background. I’m 35, turning 36 in May. I’ve been training since I was in my early 20’s. I did 5/3/1 for a long time and then have been bouncing around with HIT, bodybuilding, and strength training. Basically whatever caught my eye. Program hopping you’d call it. I’ve struggled with sticking with a “program” for more than 2 weeks. But, I started Starting Strength to weeks ago. My lifetime PR’s are the following.

    Bench 275
Squat 385 to a parallel box
    Deadlift 335
    Press not really sure

Those were hit when I weight about 200 pounds. After a serious bout of pneumonia I lost a lot of weight and have never been back up that high.

My whole life I’ve been naturally skinny. I didn’t weigh 100 pounds until I was 16. Graduated high school at about 115, college at 135, and the police academy at 165.

Anyway, I weighed 187.5 this morning which is the heaviest I’ve been in years. I’m 5’11”.

    Yesterday’s workout was the following.

    Squat 3 x 5 @ 215
    Press 3 x 5 @ 95
    Power Clean 5 x 3 @ 85
